KAPRALOVA QUARTET, named after Czech composer Vita Kapralova (1915–1940), was founded in 1995 in Prague, originally under the name of Venus Quartet Prague. In 2001 the ensemble changed its name to pay a tribute to one of the most remarkable women composers of the twentieth century.
Kapralova Quartet has a broad classical repertoire which also includes a number of important compositions of the twentieth century, such as the complete quartets by Alfred Schnittke. Au Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris Kotaro Fukuma est l'élève de Bruno Rigutto et de Marie-Françoise Bucquet. Il obtient son 1er prix de piano en 2005. Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi was born in Atessa on December 26th 1980. He began studying the accordion at the age of nine before switching to the bandoneon later. From 1993 to 2001, he studied at the F. Fenaroli Civic Music school in Lanciano with M° C. Calista and with M° C. Chiacchiaretta. In 2007, he graduated with honours from Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome.
In 2006, he resided at the Montreal Jazz Festival “I colori del mare” with Gabriele Mirabassi and Pietro Tonolo a project of the EGEA record company.

À l'âge de 15 ans elle faisait partie du groupe musical Quo Vadis. Elle a étudié la musique classique, la musique pop et le jazz.
Avec le groupe Kontinent, elle a représenté le Luxembourg au concours eurovision de la chanson en 1992 à Malmö (Suède). Elle y interprétait en langue luxembourgeoise la chanson Sou fräi (As free), et est arrivée 21e sur 23 avec un total final de 10 points.
